This was a really enjoyable task - I got to develop the look of the Lovell Moonbase for Expanse. Loved the chance to reference one of my favourite films for this; 2001: A Space Odyssey. Also took some inspiration from the work of Syd Mead, as well as modern-day airports, refinery plants, housing developments etc. Took a while to make the city feel as massive as it needed to be while still keeping a sense of functional logic - there are hab modules, comms towers, air & water treatment plants, mining quarries, refineries, research stations, landing platforms, roadways for ground traffic, power generation and storage facilities and of course the main concourse and station dome. Everything you'd need for life on the moon! (probably)... Fingers crossed we reach that point someday :)
